WINNING ENTRY-The contest holder described bistro as casual, while serving non-greasy food. Using this as inspiration I have created a logo that is clean, but not overly sophisticated.
Logo created using the contest holder's preferred font of Pacifico. It incorporates the image of a mountain range to represent the company's state of Colorado, and has beams of light radiating up andout from the center of the logo to create an uplifting feel. The colors of the beams and the lettering are golden, while the rest of the logo is neutral gray tones to bring emphasis to the key elements of the design.
Contest holder owns a candy store in the UK that sells classic US products. Contest holder preferred a red white and blue palette, with fonts that would appeal to a younger crowd.
A simple wedding invitation, designed to be sent by email and viewed on the guest's phone. Designed with sans serif fonts to be easier on the eye in a digital format, the invitation feels modern but has a slight touch of traditional wedding elements with the banner imagery.
From the contest holder's brief, I took it that the main style of paintings that clients will be creating will be impressionism, as he gave Van Gogh and Monet as examples. From this, I created a logo that has inspiration drawn from the impressionist brush stroke style, as well as a color palette reminiscent of "Starry Night".
